Angie Malley was born in Koo Wee Rup, Victoria. After completing her TOP Art at Chisholm, Dandenong she became an artist for a local newspaper and later a graphic artist and imaging specialist for more renowned newspapers in Melbourne. After 20 years in the industry she decided she would complete her Diploma in Visual art in 2011 and has participated in many group exhibitions and solo exhibitions over the past six years and is currently represented by the Jinx Gallery in Tonimbuk.

Angie uses oils, acrylics and pastels but has recently changed her medium to ink on paper. Using this unforgiving medium she aspires to produce a beautiful image using a profuse amount of dots. To render an image and convey the moods can be challenging with the simple use of dots and the harsh contrast of black on white. The careful application and proximity of each dot has to be considered carefully in order to create shading and dots the wrong size or proximity will ruin the whole image.

Her love for art doesn’t just lie with her own, for the past 4 years Angie has been a curator for the Knox City Council and has curated many exhibitions and art events throughout Knox. If she isn’t creating her own work she is admiring and exhibiting all the wonderful established and emerging artists throughout the Knox district.
